JJ's Hog Roast for Hospice is an event held near Pelican Lake with a goal to raise donations and awareness for Hospice and their amazing services. 

All proceeds from this event are donated to Hospice of Red River Valley & other deserving charities in need
What began as a celebration of JJ’s life, cut short at age 28 from an accidental death, has evolved into a CELEBRATION with a CAUSE!!!
​JJ lived his life to its fullest! He was known for his kind heart and lively spirit! He could be counted on for a good time! JJ enjoyed listening and dancing to various music genres, and partying with friends and family. When they were having a good time JJ was having a good time!! That is why we are honored to provide live entertainment, car show, and hog roast dinner to help celebrate JJ’s hospitable, and enthusiastic personality.

His family wanted something good to come from his death and to memorialize his name in a special way that reminded them of JJ’s fun loving personality. Not only does this event carry on JJ’s legacy but benefits those who have yet to cope with loss through death. Hospice of the Red River Valley has supported JJ’s family on numerous occasions as we’ve navigated through this imminent stage of life & is a natural partnership for this charity event.
