JJ's Hog Roast for Hospice is an event held near Pelican Lake with a goal to raise donations and awareness for Hospice and their amazing services.
All proceeds from this event are donated to HIA Hospice & other deserving charities in need
What began as a celebration of JJ’s life, cut short at age 28 from an accidental death, has evolved into a CELEBRATION with a CAUSE!!!
JJ lived life to the fullest—known for his kind heart, lively spirit, and love for a good time. Whether it was dancing to his favorite music or partying with friends and family, JJ’s joy was contagious. If those around him were having fun, so was he!
That spirit is exactly why we are proud to offer live entertainment, a car show, and a hog roast dinner—each part of this event is a tribute to JJ’s hospitable and enthusiastic personality.
After his passing, JJ’s family wanted something meaningful to grow from their loss—a way to celebrate his life while helping others. This event not only keeps JJ’s legacy alive, but it also supports those who are facing the realities of loss and end-of-life care. HIA Hospice (formerly Hospice of the Red River Valley) has stood beside JJ’s family during difficult times, making them a natural partner for this cause.
